Day 150 - Why Would This Be On Buddy Slim?

Why is it that a site that is set out to motivate and support a weight loss journey have advertisements for “quick fixes”? That is one thing I don’t understand. Shouldn’t there be links to low fat recipes, workout tips, and motivational messages instead? It’s annoying to me to constantly see this. Maybe it’s just me. Rant over.

Anywho… I worked my buns off today. 80+ minutes. I walked and jogged. I weight lifted. I enjoyed my cool down and stretch. I even took a moment to reflect on my life in peace while my son napped. I even had time to kill before he woke up so I started tidying up the house. I just wanted to keep moving. It felt so good. I know that when I wake up in the morning I will be so proud of myself for today’s accomplishments.

I noticed two new things.

1) I was actually looking forward to the high intensity part of my intervals while working out on the treadmill. I was able to jog more than ever. I don’ t know if it was because I kept telling myself I want this so badly or something else. Whatever it was I’m already looking forward to tomorrow’s workout to see if I can improve some more.

2) I’m starting to see my collarbone! Ha ha! How pathetic is that? Now if only this double chin would disappear.

Looking forward to another day of living healthy.

It bothers me too! People who come here for the first time might get the wrong idea.

I love your positive attitude in everything I see from you! Even your rant was only a mere paragraph, lol! I know what you mean about looking forward to the intensity part. Yesterday at the gym I went from a 10 incline to a 12, and it felt amazing!!

Have a great day - and I love your “Looking forward to another day of living healthy.”

I can’t stand that either and honestly I am sick of seeing jillian with her rock hard abs beckoning me on my homepage:)

I can’t stand the ads either! It’s always women too…at least mix it up and give us pictures of muscle-bound dudes to roll our eyes at.

lol I thought I was the only one that figured it was strange to have those kind of ads here.
    Looks at pic–puzzled…double chin? Where?
    Awesome job on the workout!

Are you referring to the ads that pops up in the blog section? They are very annoying and it always picks up on key words from our blogs.

You are right though, it should take the word “fruit” and post advertisement for fruits but noooooooooooo say the word “diet pills” in your blog and a bunch of those stupid ads comes up.

DOUBLE CHIN? What double chin girl?

  12. chelleybones @ November 4th, 2009

Ladies… it’s all about angles. It’s like my very proper grandmother taught me that you have to position yourself just right so only your assets show and you hide your flaws. The double chin is there trust me. But yes, my face is slimming out.

I see those too…on this site and everywhere online. Like the flat belly rule things…so annoying!

Way to go and working out and noticing the changes that are happening in your body. I agree 100% with the weight loss tricks and all that crap they put up on here. I wish it was something motivational as well.
How are you btw?? HOpe your week has been fantastic!
